    This 1870-80’s locket is both striking and unusual. Likely depicting psyche, two golden butterfly wings are beautifully decorated with blue and green enamel peacock eyes, outlined in black tracery and finished with delicate hand engraving. The spring loaded wings are fully functional and open to reveal a covered glass compartment containing a lock of blonde hair. Truly a historical treasure. 🦋
